Welcome! We are delighted you will be joining The King’s Singers for this special day of music-making at Snow Concert Hall.

Whether you sing regularly in a choir or simply love to sing, this day is designed to be welcoming, supportive, and joyful – a rare opportunity to experience music-making alongside one of the world’s most celebrated vocal ensembles.

Quick Start – Please Read First

To prepare for the workshop, please complete these two simple steps:

1. Download or print your music
Sheet music for all repertoire is available below.

2. Listen to the pieces in advance
Memorisation is not required, but familiarity with the music will make the day even more enjoyable.

If you complete these two steps, you will be fully prepared for the workshop.

Please don’t worry if you are unsure about anything – guidance will be provided throughout the day.

Workshop repertoire and preparation


You are encouraged to become familiar with the four pieces in advance, and listening beforehand is very helpful.

Memorisation is not required – simply come ready to enjoy singing together.

We encourage the use of personal iPads or tablets where possible. Please either download the sheet music to your device, or print your music and bring it in a black folder.

  • FAIR PHYLLIS  and  SICUT CERVUS

Singing divisions will be straight Soprano / Alto / Tenor / Bass.

SOPRANO: soprano and mezzo-soprano
ALTO: alto, contralto and countertenor
TENOR: tenor
BASS: baritone and bass

Note: Sicut Cervus, bar 46, TENORS to sing C-natural instead of C#

  • ABENDLIED

Singing division will be:

SOPRANO 1 : soprano
SOPRANO 2: mezzo-soprano 
ALTO:  alto, contralto, countertenor
TENOR: tenor
BASS 1: baritone
BASS 2: bass

Note: on the day we may allocate some sopranos to join mezzo-sopranos

3:15pm  |  Showcase concert

Lunch & Breaks

There will be two shorter breaks during the day, as well as a one-hour lunch break.

You are welcome to bring your own lunch.

You may purchase refreshments from the Snow Concert Hall Atrium Café, which will be open throughout the day.

Showcase concert – share the experience!


At 3:15pm, the day concludes with a special Showcase Concert, where workshop participants will perform on stage alongside The King’s Singers.

This relaxed 45-minute concert is a wonderful opportunity to share the experience with friends and family and celebrate the music you have prepared together during the day. The King’s Singers will also perform a selection of pieces as part of the programme.

We warmly encourage you to invite guests to come and enjoy this unique performance.

What to bring


To help you feel comfortable and prepared for the day, we recommend bringing the following:

Music
We encourage the use of personal iPads or tablets where possible. Please either download the sheet music to your device, or print your music and bring it in a black folder.

Pencil
For marking your music during rehearsals.

Concert attire
Casual dress is suitable for the workshop sessions. For the Showcase Concert, please wear solid black bottoms and a solid-colour top (no patterns or logos). If you wish, you may change into your concert clothing during the lunch break.

Water bottle

Lunch
Please bring your own lunch, or see the lunch options above.

If you are unable to print music, copies will be available on the day.
